I decided to revisit a blog post I wrote back in February to update those of you who venture to this little corner of the internet about what's going on in my world. Here's what I'm currently...
Loving - the websites GroopDealz and veryjane. Because shopping with a nonstop toddler can be challenging (to say the least), online shopping is my friend. My best friend. And these websites are ADDICTIVE.
Reading - I'm alternating between Carry On, Warrior (by the author of the blog Momastery - she's awesome) and Conquering Infertility. I haven't done well with my whole reading-more-before-bed goal I set for myself back in February, but I decided this morning I'm going to do better! I'd really love to start winding down with a book while lying in bed instead of falling asleep on the couch in front of The Real Housewives of Everywhere.
Waiting for - the moment I can look back and understand why these past six months have been so hard. I won't be too melodramatic, but you know how everyone says one day, it'll all make sense? Well, I'm waiting for that magical one day.
Excited about - my little sister's bachelorette weekend!!! T minus nine days until a crop of girls invade an estate in the mountains of Asheville to celebrate Whit's last single days!!!
Trying to - live in and love each moment. A little poetic, sure. But I always make it a New Year's resolution to truly love each TODAY. And while I have definitely made some progress since January, the year is halfway over and I still have a long way to go.
Working on - cleaning and purging. I've taken many, many bags to Goodwill and thrown away a lot of stuff. But when you have a toddler who takes ONE THIRTY MINUTE NAP a day, it's hard to find time to be productive around these parts!
Enjoying - summer. I'm two weeks into my eight-week summer break, and it has been absolutely perfect. I truly feel like we're getting the most out of every waking minute. I've tried so hard to have something fun for my girl each day, and by the time she goes to bed I am WIPED (see: one thirty minute nap). I feel so fortunate to have this time with Cameron Kate!
Using - my Rodan + Fields products religiously. Unfortunately, I'm on some medicines right now that don't give one the best complexion. Fortunately, I've got an arsenal of products to help solve my skin woes. Y'all, this stuff is the real deal.
Wearing - a new "Troubles Fly Away" necklace someone sent to me because they knew this would be a difficult month. Thank you. :)
Planning - a one-night getaway with my hub this weekend to celebrate our five-year anniversary! Well, I WAS planning, until he told me he'd take care of it. And y'all, it'll be the first time we're BOTH away from Cameron overnight. We need this - Thank you Bammy and Digby!
Singing - "Skinnamarink" - a certain little toddler's new favorite song.
Needing - an interior decorator/designer to come tell me what the heck to do with our house. We've been here for over five years now and I am wanting a change AND the walls to actually look like, well, we've lived here for over five years.
Learning - how to keep a straight face when CK is so darn adorable while she vehemently disobeys me.
Listening to - anything by Florida Georgia Line.
Wishing - Want the brutal truth? I'm wishing that July 30th was still my due date, that I was miserably pregnant and that we were about to become a family of four.
Doing - a lot of stain-removing. Toddlers are messy, messy creatures.
Dreaming of - listening to the ocean while digging my toes in the sand. Four more weeks 'til we're beach bound!
Happy Hump Day!!
