Oh my sweet, surprise, caboose of our family - I absolutely cannot believe we are so close to meeting you and finding out just who you are!
So many people keep commenting that my pregnancy has flown by - but to be honest, I have to disagree. Ha!
Being a pregnant mama-of-two has been no joke, especially through these ridiculously hot, Georgia summer months. And also, we found out we were pregnant with you the first week in January, so I've literally been carrying you around all.year.long.
BUT, with all that being said, it does kinda feel like it was just yesterday when we saw those two shocking lines.
You see, before you, we had your big sister, our Cameron Kate. And then after her, we went through a lot as a little family of three - and were told by many doctors that that's probably what we'd always be - a family of three.
Yet we kept on fighting and, miraculously, we brought your big brother Everette into the world a little under two years ago.
So when we found out we were unexpectedly expecting again in January, we were absolutely, positively SHOCKED.
And despite my growing belly, the
Sweet baby number three, we are so incredibly excited as we get ready to meet you. We cannot believe God is trusting us with yet another precious, perfect life, and we hope with all of our hearts that we can be the mom and dad that you deserve.
The bond I already share with you - the bond only you and I have known for the past nine months - is one I will cherish for the rest of my life. And while there are so many uncertainties that face us all in this world, there are a few things I can promise you...
I promise to love you enough. I promise to love you so big. I promise to love you with every ounce of who I am.
I promise to raise you to know and love God, and I promise that I'll do anything I can to make you happy - even if it means letting you stumble a bit along the way.
I promise that you have the most incredible Daddy, a man who works tirelessly to make sure his family is taken care of, a man who was born to have children... the greatest man I have ever known.
And I promise that you will grow up with a big sister and a big brother who will always have your back, who will love you unconditionally, who will always fight for your happiness and pick you up and hold your hand whenever you need a little courage.
We are so incredibly blessed, my sweet caboose. And I pray with all my heart and soul that, over the next couple days, God will watch carefully over you and me as we both work to bring you into this amazing, beautiful world.
I love you enough, I love you so big...
