Five on Friday!!

O N E
Did you get all hyped up about Amazon Prime Day?  I sure did.  Were you extremely disappointed in the deals and how it all went down?  I sure was.  There were a few wish list items I had hoped would be discounted, and weren't.  Or if they were, it wasn't by much.  And then the lightning deals were a crock.  I saw a toy I wanted to get CK for Christmas that was going to be available at 9:00am.  Well, at 8:59pm I was on Amazon, and as soon as it popped up I clicked on it and it said "Sold Out."  How is that even possible?!  Everything about Prime Day was a huge letdown!

Teething is the devil.  That's all.

So, this week I decided to start doing my runs earrrrrly in the wee morning hours.  I used to do this back when I was working, and I forgot how much I love it.  Running alone, no stroller, in the quiet of the sunrise... and then coming home to spend some time with my coffee and Jesus before the rest of the house even stirs.  It's good for my soul, and exactly how I need to start my days lately.

This girl, y'all.
As much as I write about how emotionally charged and frustrating she can be, I adore her so very much.  She is growing into such an amazing little girl, with one of the kindest hearts I have ever known.  We have had so many awesome conversations lately, initiated by her - about being a big sister, Jesus, heaven, what love means...  I am so proud of who she is becoming, and so excited and honored to experience life as her mama. <3

This edition of Five on Friday is short and sweet because early tomorrow morning we are beach-bound!!!!!!  Cannot.wait.  Beachfront with my entire family under one roof - 14 adults, 7 kids - for an entire week. (And no, crazy people, our house won't be empty so don't get any ideas.  We have a dog-sitter staying here all week!)  It has taken me forever to even feel mildly prepared to vacation for that long with my kiddos, and I still have so much packing to do... So with that, I'm signing off, and I'll see you when I'm hopefully a little more rejuvenated and a lot more sun-kissed!
