There's God!

The other day I was cooking (and by cooking I mean putting a Stouffer's in the oven), when I heard the sweet, sing-songy voice of my daughter in her room...

"There's God!"

"There He is!"

"That's God!"

I peeked into the doorway and saw her wonky-pigtailed head buried in the pages of a children's book titled, "Do You See Me, God?"  She was pointing to anything and everything in the book - the little kids, the animals, the parents, the sunshine - and she, with 100% certainty, was proclaiming that He was everything in the book... that He is everything and He is everywhere.

And in this tiny, heart-stopping moment I realized that while I have been struggling with finding God in the darkness, He's always been right here.

I won't lie and say that I don't still have questions, that I'm not still confused, that I'm not still struggling with understanding why we're having to walk this difficult road.

But it was my two-year-old who finally convinced me that He's RIGHT HERE.

  1. She is wise beyond her years, that precious little one. Xoxo

  2. This made me cry, for many reasons. I wanted to share some Scriptures with you that I hope bring more encouragement.

    Psalm 139:1-16
    Psalm 56:8
    Psalm 6
    Isaiah 55:8-9
    Praying for you always!

  3. How sweet! I love CK. She has such amazing parents!

  4. Aww!! I just saw this. Sometimes the faith of children is JUST what we need mama!! It's precious.
